A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a vehicle overturned on a busy road through a village.
Emergency services were called to Coach Road, Great Horkesley, just before 12noon today.
On arrival they found a silver car had overturned, coming to rest on its roof in the middle of the carriageway.
The road is blocked near to its junction with the A134, Nayland Road.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said: “We were called at 11.57am with reports of a collision in Coach Road, Great Horkesley.
“We sent one ambulance and took a woman to Colchester General Hospital for further care.”
Drivers have been advised to avoid the area whilst the vehicle was recovered.
