SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 3-3 draw with Fleetwood Town.

Lost first half 2-1, thought we shaded it and played pretty well. Won second half 2-1, thought we were pretty dire for all 45 in that half. But it’s good to see us getting a result in that situation. Would have liked to see us push for a winner once we were level though.

@samgoody23

Pleased with the point and improved performance. While there are obvious areas in need of improvement, we showed great character. Humphrys did not give up and his determination to score was amazing. After six defeats it was good to see. Waddock did well.

@robertaskew7

Positives: formation was sensible, we didn’t lose and Humphrys was fantastic. But that must be the worse GK/defence (Elvis excepted)/CM since the Alvin Martin days. We got a 3-3 draw only as they missed a stack of chances. Doomed unless we tighten up massively.

@moorhouse79

Much improved performance but poor defensively. Blackman was appalling. Hutchinson is out of his depth, Elvis, Macca and Humph put in a huge shift each. Much more passion on display but still a lot of work to do.

@299peter

We’re off the mark with a point but hard to know what to make of that. Tactically we were more disciplined. We tried to be compact without the ball and yes there was clearly an improvement in work rate. Yet we could have conceded five or six without having reason to complain.

@mwelly7

Much better but such a long way to go yet. Still a few players to sort out but overall a huge improvement which was reflected by the fans applauding at FT. Keep going guys. You can do this.

@tezza_sufc

Yes we got a draw but was still very poor. Defensively we are a shambles! Humphrys and Macca’s performances were a positive

@_jacklawrence

Amazing that Humphrys is managing to score at the rate he is with little to no creativity which shows what an asset he is. A good point but it was very lucky, Fleetwood hit the woodwork three times and missed loads of chances.

@p_rourke

Fleetwood were a good team, well organised with each player knowing their role. The difference today from us, we played with heart, passion and desire. Humphrys our stand out player and good to have Macca back, who also played well. Good to be entertained for once as well. Good game

@harrisufc

Good to see some fight and passion in the team, with a few tweaks to personnel we’ll be OK. Blackman is totally out of his depth, Hutch and Hamilton not ready for League One yet and can we have the Cox of last season back please? Plenty of positives for a new manager to work with.

@garrygen

With fleetwood being a half decent side who are good at what they do, was gutting to go in at half time 2-1 down. But shows we have the fight in us to get a draw out of that. Elvis and Humphrys were solid. Think Oxley could do better for the second and maybe the third.
