EAST Thurrock United could break into the Isthmian Premier League’s top four with a victory over Brightlingsea Regent tomorrow.

John Coventry’s side have made a solid start to life back in the third tier of non-league football following their relegation from the National League South last term.

And, with the Essex derby against Brightlingsea at Rookery Hill being the only Isthmian Premier League fixture of the weekend, East Thurrock will be looking to build on their 3-0 victory over Bognor Regis Town last weekend.

Goals from Danny Harris, Ayo Olukoga and Steve Sheehan allowed Rocks to triumph and bounce back from their FA Cup exit at the hands of Peterborough Sports.

Brightlingsea, meanwhile, will make the trip to Rookery Hill looking to improve their own position in the standings.

The R’s are currently 15th and have registered just one win on the road so far.

And Brightlingsea will be eager to bounce back from their thumping 4-0 home loss to Horsham last time out.

Two Chris Smith goals in the opening nine minutes put Horsham firmly in the driving seat, while Charlie Harris extended the visitors’ lead before the break.

Joe Shelley rounded off the scoring.
