Rayleigh Weir
A man has been left with serious injuries after being hit by a car near the Rayleigh Weir.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after the pedestrian, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries in a crash on the A127 Londonbound between 1am and 5.15am this morning.
When police arrived, the vehicle was not at the scene.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson from Essex Police, said: "We need anyone who saw anything, has any dash cam or CCTV footage, or any other information to call us on 101 quoting incident 118 of 4 October or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
