THERE has been a crash on the A12 southbound and the road has been closed.
A car is believed to have crashed through the central reservation between junction 18 for Danbury and junction 19 for the A130 Colchester Road around 8am this morning.
All emergency services are at the scene and the southbound carriageway is shut.
The car is said to be on its roof.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “Crewss were called to the A12, southbound between junction 19 and 18, after reports of a road traffic collision involving one car.
“On arrival firefighters reported that a car was on its roof and a female was trapped inside.
“Firefighters worked to release the casualty by 8.55am and left her in the care of the Ambulance Service.”
