A BADLY congested road has finally re-opened to two lanes.
Ipswich Road North in Colchester has now re-opened to two lanes running southbound to the Ipswich Road roundabout.
Traffic management has been removed along Cowdray Avenue, which is now two lanes running up to the Ipswich Road roundabout.
Two lanes will be kept around the Ipswich Road roundabout to help traffic flow easier around the junction.
St Andrew's Avenue has one-way traffic running between the two roundabouts in both directions.
The footpath from Harwich Road roundabout all the way to Ipswich Road North has now re-opened and this is the main footpath through the roadworks site to access Waitrose.
The footpath from the Harwich Road roundabout to the Ipswich Road roundabout on the Homebase side has been closed for the next phase of works.
