Bournes Green Chase
A WOMAN was freed from a car after a five vehicle crash in Southend.
Firefighters were called to Bournes Green Chase yesterday at 1.54pm.
Five cars had been involved in the crash, which had closed the road, and one woman was trapped in her car.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene.
A fire service spokesman said: "Firefighters worked hard to release the woman as efficiently as possible and managed to do so by 2.52pm, before leaving her in the care of the Ambulance Service."
