WELSH hill farmer Gareth Wyn Jones has been confirmed as the special guest of the upcoming ‘Christmas at the Bull’ event in Builth Wells.

The star of the TV series The Hill Farm will be attending the Builth Wells Town Council-run event on Friday, December 13.

Following the town’s Christmas lights switch-on and the Royal Welsh Winter Fair, Builth Wells continues its festive celebrations Held at the Groe, near the iconic bull statue. It promises to be fun for all of the family.

Performances from the pitch perfect Builth Wells Ladies’ Choir will be getting everyone into the Christmas spirit, and there will be something for all ages, including a free present for all children under 11-years-old at Santa’s Grotto.

Special VIP guest Mr Wyn Jones came to national prominence in the aftermath of the severe snowstorm which hit his farm in the Carneddau mountain range of North Wales in March 2013.

A Builth Wells Town Council spokesperson said: “Father Christmas is coming to Builth Wells! The Town Council would like to invite you to their Christmas Grotto on Friday, December 13, on the Groe, near to the Bull, come and join in the festivities. See you from 6pm.”
