RESIDENTS have raised £600 to help feed hungry families.
Colchester Foodbank received the donation from the Paxman Park Residents Association.
The money was raised at their Christmas event held at the GO4 Café in Colchester.
After the foodbank’s busiest Christmas ever, manager Mike Beckett was grateful for the group’s generosity.
He said: “Without people like the complete stars who make up the team from Paxman Park Residents Association we wouldn’t be able to help people in crisis who, usually through no fault of their own, otherwise would face destitution and too often this includes children.
“We are especially thankful for all those who help the foodbank continue to make a big difference in people’s lives when they need it most.”
In November, the foodbank had 900 clients for the first time.
