THE Essex and Herts Air Ambulance is hosting an annual walk to raise vital funds.

Owners and their four-legged friends are being urged to take part in the Heli Hounds walk on March 1.

The walk sets off from the air ambulance base at Earls Colne Business Park for a three-mile adventure through the picturesque grounds of the Marks Hall Estate.

Burnham and District Dog Training will also be on hand with dancing dog demonstrations and ‘how to’ sessions.

Air ambulance events manager Emily Donnachie said: “Our Heli Hounds walk is a really popular, fun event with hundreds of people and their dogs joining us each year.

“Because the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance is a charity, the money raised by events such as this is important in keeping our life-saving service operational.

“A dog show with a range of classes to enter will also take place during the walk.

“It would be great to see as many people as possible come along with their dogs. If 300 dog walkers each managed to get £30-£50 in sponsorship money, we could raise over £10,000 – enough to fund four life-saving missions.”

Entry to the dog show is £1.50 in advance or £2 on the day.
