POLICE are investigating after the window of a Conservative MP's constistuency office was smashed in what appears to be a targeted attack.
Simon Clarke, MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland, took to social media to vent his anger over the incident which happened at his Guisborough office during the night.
He said: "My constituency team are some of the most hard-working and decent people you could find, and it’s utterly unacceptable that my office has been attacked with a slingshot or air rifle.
"Cleveland Police have been brought in and if anyone has any information, please let them know."

Cleveland Police confirmed that they received a report of criminal damage yesterday at 2.30pm.
A spokesman said: "It was reported that a window had been damaged sometime overnight from 5pm on Wednesday, January 22 to 8:30am on Thursday, January 23.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 012565."
