GLASGOW Royal Infirmary has the highest IVF success rate in Scotland and the second highest in the UK, new figures show.
The most recent data from the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority for 2017 shows the Assisted Conception Unit has a 43% success rate.
The unit provides more than 900 treatment cycles annually.

The NHSGGC centre treats local Glasgow and Clyde patients as well as patients from referring boards including Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Arran and Dumfries and Galloway.
Both NHS-funded patients and those who choose to self-fund are treated at the clinic.

Helen Lyall, Consultant Clinical Lead of the Unit, said: “We are delighted to see Glasgow Royal Infirmary’s Assisted Conception Unit is the top performing IVF clinic in Scotland.
“It is incredibly rewarding to be able to help couples successfully conceive but it can be just as important to support those who are unsuccessful. Our team provides patient-centred care for all the couples we treat.”
The data is two years behind as that is the standard timeframe for publication of the HFEA reports.
