SOUTHEND United defender John White has undergone surgery on his broken arm.
White has broken his left arm three times in the last 10 months.
But Blues boss Sol Campbell confirmed action had been taken to stop the centre-back suffering anymore setbacks.
"I think the operation has been a success," said Campbell.
"It will take a while but it’s a bigger plate now so hopefully it will be stronger.
" The weak points were at either end of the plate so they’ve extended it now and hopefully that makes it better.
"After that they will have to decide whether or not to keep it in or if they will take it out it’s mended."
White suffered his latest break during Blues' 2-1 win against Lincoln City earlier this month.
