A PAIR of ducks has settled in with its neighbours at a Barratt Homes development in Stretton.

Donald and Daisy have made the Kings Quarter development their new home, along with fellow residents in a variety of three and four bedroom houses.

Residents at the Stretton Road development have become very fond of their ‘pets’, watching them on the nearby pond and exploring the surrounding countryside.

Sales advisor Helen, who is based at Kings Quarter, said: "We love Donald and Daisy, they visit every day and we have even married them.

"Donald lets Daisy eat before he does, it’s lovely.

"Even the residents are excited by the couple, there’s a young girl who always comes out to visit the ducks when they’re outside the sales centre."

Barratt Homes has had a partnership with the RSPB for more than six years and the wildlife friendly developments dotted around the country are now seeing nature thrive around them.

Michaela Lancaster, sales director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: "Our partnership with the RSPB is working to improve our approach to the natural world around our developments.

"We’re so excited that we’re now getting wildlife settling on our developments and I hope that Donald and Daisy have a very comfortable home at Kings Quarter."
