It is a disgrace that Braintree does not have any public toilets at present. Those in George Yard are closed and are not public toilets anyway.
Bearing in mind that the shops are now reopening this only leaves the supermarket toilets. Not all visitors to the town will know where these toilets are.
BDC should have made arrangements for temporary toilets to be placed close to where the bus park ones were.
Other towns that have to close toilets for one reason or another can manage to organise temporary ones for the duration. These are going to be closed for approximately TWO years.
May I suggest to locals that they try the town hall toilets, entered from the rear of the building or the library(if they have any) as these are both public buildings paid for with tax payers money
