NO NEW coronavirus deaths have been confirmed in Sussex hospitals, according to the latest figures.
The number of coronavirus deaths across hospital trusts in Sussex remained the same as yesterday – though there is often a reporting lag over the weekend.
No more fatalities were confirmed by Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, and the total stands at 146 deaths.
Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 113 deaths in total.
Meanwhile, Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has reported 257.
At East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, the total is 90, while Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 18 Covid-19 deaths.
Nationally, 16 deaths were recorded where coronavirus was listed on death certificates, bringing the UK death toll to 44,236.
Public Health England has now changed the way it reports on positive cases to remove duplicates across swab test results from inside hospitals and test results from the wider population.
The national total for positive cases is now 285,768. An additional 352 cases were reported on Monday.
The total number of positive cases in Brighton and Hove is 768, up two from yesterday's total. East Sussex currently has 1,491 cases, up three from Sunday. The West Sussex total has stayed the same at 2,689.
