CANADIAN sniper Alex Roberts is the first import new signing for the Basingstoke Bison for this forthcoming season.
The highly rated sharp shooter played for Streatham against the Herd in season 2018/19 and was fourth in the South One scoring list, despite playing for a team who finished sixth.
The 25-year-old ended with 59 points from 41 games scoring 32 times for the Redhawks, which earned him a place on the South One all star first team that season.
During the campaign he played eight times against the Bison and finished with nine points and picked up both man of the match awards in the play-off series.
Last season, Roberts scored 15 times in 19 games for Mont Blanc in France.
The forward, who stands 6ft 3in, hails from Burnaby, British Columbia, he played all his ice hockey in his native Canada, before coming to Europe.
Bison head coach Ashley Tait is excited about his first new signing of the summer and said: “I know all about Alex (Roberts) having played against him.”
