TWO men have been charged following an attack in Sible Hedingham.
Officers from Essex Police were called to Swan Street in the village on Wednesday 29 July after reports of an altercation and a man making threats.
Essex Police were called at around 12.05am before attending the scene and arresting two men - one on suspicion of grievous bodily harm - just before 4.55am.
Both men have since been charged with multiple offences.
A spokesman from Essex Police said: "Steve Milne, 54, of Swan Street, Sible Hedingham, has been charged with affray and intentionally assisting in the commission of an offence.
"Joe Milne, 27, of Swan Street, Sible Hedingham, has been charged with affray, possession of a knife and assault causing actual bodily harm.
"They were both due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today, Thursday 30 July."
Following their magistrates court appearance yesterday, the pair are set to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on August 27.
