A DRIVER has been reported after being stopped when police spotted a child on the lap of a passenger.
Officers were on patrol in Colchester on Sunday when they spotted the vehicle.
They found a rear passenger with a child on her lap.
When they questioned the driver they were told they were "only going five minutes down the road."
Officers also found the driver did not have a license and the vehicle wasn't insured.
The vehicle was seized and the driver reported.
