In a video on his YouTube channel, Alfie told his 3.38 million subscribers that he was “excited” to share his “new project.”

The 27-year-old said: “I’ve finally purchased an office. Buying a commercial property, an office, for myself and my team has always been one of the biggest goals of mine.

“Renting a commercial property and an office is not cheap so the goal for me has always been to save up enough money after working with my team for so long on this project.”

The YouTuber, who lives in Brighton, told fans that work has already began the property and he plans to share videos throughout the process.

Alfie said: “Today is day one of construction. The builders are arriving on site in a minute and we are going to gut this place and make it our own.”

According to the MailOnline, planning permission documents from Brighton and Hove City Council reveal the stars plan to knock down the walls on both upper floors.

As well as sharing video of the second-floor space, Alfie included a clip of him and Zoella receiving email confirmation of their purchase and their plans for a “champagne” celebration.

The news comes after last week it was revealed that Zoella, real name Zoe Sugg, was paying a staff member from the government’s coronavirus furlough scheme, despite her business booming during lockdown.

On YouTube, Ms Sugg, 30, can earn up to £25,000 from ad placing on her channel, where she has 16 million subscribers.
