A GROWING cleaning firm has opened a new office in Colchester.

Mop Tops, which has just expanded to become a cleaning agency, has moved into the new premises at The Colchester Centre, off Hawkins Road.

The firm, which offers cleaning services to personal and commercial clients, is set to take on additional members of staff after growing rapidly before the coronavirus pandemic.

Chloe Clennon, who runs the firm with business partner Emma Martin, said: "Myself and Emma went into partnership with each other last year.

"We just got to the point where we were so busy we decided to jump and go for it as an agency

"It is a difficult time for all businesses at the moment. Things were starting to get a bit better but now we're in another lockdown.

"At the moment we are in the process of taking on two more members of staff but lockdown has slow things down a bit.

"We hope we are able to grow that in the future."
