A MAN who ignored a red light has been given a six month driving ban.
Colin Fripp, 53, of Wentworth Road, Southend, was charged with failing to comply with a red light signal on February 17.
The court was told Fripp had ignored a red light on Lever Street in London.
He admitted the offence and it was dealt with via the single justice procedure at Willesden Magistrates’ Court.
This means the case was decided by a magistrate and defendants don't have to appear in court.
Fripp was banned from the roads for six months and fined £196.
He was also ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
