Rail passengers are facing disruption on several major Essex routes after a signalling system fault developed between Ingatestone and Chelmsford.
Greater Anglia says trains running through the two stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised, with disruption currently expected to continue until 3.15pm today (November 6).
Network Rail engineers are at the scene and are working to fix the signalling fault.
Services affected include trains between London Liverpool Street and:
- Norwich
- Ipswich
- Clacton-on-Sea
- Colchester Town
- Braintree
Passengers have been warned that services could continue to be altered or cancelled while the problem is investigated.
