A WOMAN is set to stand trial accused of stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife.
Lucy Melluish is alleged to have slashed Paul Bartley three times during an argument at their home in High Street, Ingatestone.
Southend Magistrates' Court heard the incident left him with wounds which were about an inch deep.
Melluish, 47, stands charged with maliciously wounding her husband with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
The court bailed her on condition she lives and sleeps at the couple’s second home in Derbyshire.
She is also banned from Essex except for pre-arranged appointments with solicitors or to attend court, and must not contact her husband.
Melluish is next due to appear before Basildon Crown Court on July 13 for a plea and case management hearing.
