The person who was struck by a train yesterday afternoon has been identified.
William Tweed, 15, from Ingatestone. sadly died after he was hit by a train close to the station.
British Transport Police Officers were called to the line 4.35pm on Thursday, 21 September and attended alongside paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service.
Specialist officers are supporting William’s family and work is on-going to establish how he came to be on the tracks.
William’s family has requested that they are allowed the privacy and space to grieve and come to terms with his death.
William’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
