CHELMSFORD students put on a show with a production of Chicago.

The youngsters at Boswells School performed two fantastic performances of their abridged version of Chicago.

Each company member took on numerous roles, displaying their acting, singing and dancing skills.

This stripped back version of Chicago, similar to the most recent West End production, enabled the students to focus on characterisation and performance qualities.

The 35 minute piece required the performers to be on stage the whole time, engaged and fully participating.

Teachers at the school thanked everyone who went along to support the show and students.

School leader also congratulated the students for their hard work.

The production was part of the students’ drama studies.

The original Broadway production opened in 1975 at the 46th Street Theatre in New York.

This show ran for 936 performances until 1977.

Bob Fosse choreographed the original production, and his style is strongly identified with the show.
