TWO former MPs turned Lords invited the company to the Parliamentary Review in Westminster for the first time.
Breakaway Supported Holidays were delighted to be asked by Lord Pickles and Lord Blunkett to contribute to the Review and attended the event earlier this month.
The business, based in Chelmsford, provide holidays for adults with learning disabilities, which gives them vital independence.
The company provide all the care that is necessary, meaning the adult’s carers are given respite too.
Co-director Penny Elsip launched the company 20 years ago and it has grown steadily ever since, with this being their biggest achievement so far.
The business began by offering small group holidays in Essex, but they now offer holidays to people all over the country.
The Parliamentary Review rewards successful businesses and looks to the future to try and improve various business sectors.
David Curry, The Parliamentary Review’s Chief Editor said: “This year’s Parliamentary Review will undoubtedly be some of the most insightful reading that could be recommended for politicians and businesses alike.”
