A GRATEFUL husband has thanked a professional ring finder from Brentwood for unearthing his wedding band, which he lost only two months after tying the knot.
Nigel Tyler, 58, said his heart sank when he noticed the palladium ring was missing.
He’d spent the day working on a raised flower bed in his garden and knew the ring was buried somewhere in the soil.
But with a 40ft by 5ft space to look in, Mr Tyler, who lives in Bowers Gifford, knew he would never find it on his own.
So the anxious husband, who married Karen, 53, in April, found a specialist ring finding service run by John Able, who was able to locate it in just ten minutes.
Mr Tyler said: “It was such a relief when he found the ring.
“It was new and a symbol of our union, so to lose it so soon after the wedding was terrible.”
Mr Able, 49, gives half of his ring finding fee to Admiral Nurses, a charity which cares for people with Alzheimer’s.
