BOTTOM of the table Kingswood TTC were narrowly defeated by Writtle A in the latest round of matches in the Premier Division of the Brentwood League.
All of Kingwood’s players got their name on the score sheet, but it wasn’t enough to stop Writtle going home with the spoils.
Billericay A and BrentwoodA battled it out at the weekend at Ramsden Heath with the home side emerging 6-4 victors, and in the final match of the weekend, leaders Billericay Sports A came away from Selex TTC with a 6-4 win.
In the second division, Hutton B lost 1- 9 to promotion chasing Hutton St Joseph, and Mountnessing C claimed a good win over Writtle B 6-4.
The final game in the league over the weekend saw Buttsbury B beat promotion rivals Hutton A in another tight game 6-4. Louis Brown was top man again with a maximum score of three.
The result means Hutton stay second, with Buttsbury a close third.
