SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell could be without 14 players for this weekend’s trip to Accrington Stanley.
Stephen Humphrys (dead leg) and Michael Kightly (groin) both suffered injuries during Saturday’s 3-3 draw against Portsmouth.
And Powell is unsure whether or not the duo will be fit to face Stanley.
“At the moment I would say Michael is 50/50 for the game,” said Powell.
“Stephen is probably 60/40 in favour of him playing right now but we’ll have to wait and see.”
If Kightly and Humphrys do miss out then Powell will be without 14 of his players.
Adding to the selection problems, Rob Kiernan and Harry Lennon are also still working their way back to full fitness after injury setbacks.
