SOUTHEND United have confirmed fans will be offered free coach travel to Saturday's clash at Peterborough United.

Ron Martin told Echosport earlier this week how he is keen to get Blues' travelling fans right behind Chris Powell's struggling side.

And the club spokesman has now revealed how supporters can book their place for the game.

"The club are pleased to be offering complimentary coach travel to Saturday’s game against Peterborough United," said the spokesman.

"We are approaching the business end of the season and we know how important our supporters are for us in achieving our goal of staying in Sky Bet League One.

"As a goodwill gesture and to encourage as many Southend fans to get behind the team and show their support, free coach travel is available through the Shrimpers Trust as our official away travel partner.

"Please note that as a result of the free coach travel, the departure time from Roots Hall has been brought forward and the coaches will be leaving at 9.30am."

To take advantage of the free coach travel contact the ticket office in person or by calling 08444 770077.

Coach travel must be booked before 5pm on Thursday March 21.
