SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Friday night's 1-1 draw at Tranmere Rovers.
The 7.5 hour journey there was worth it to see Hopper put us 1-0 up. We should have won as had chances to finish them off. But an improved performance all round. Plenty of fight shown. Credit to Gary Waddock for this improved display. Lets build on this and beat Donny on Tuesday.
@robertaskew7
Deserved three points. Elvis, Hamilton and Hopper were superb.

Where has this Southend United team been all season? Much better performance and a delight to see Tom Hopper back. Need to push on from here.
@hobdaylewis
Good point but five points from 39 means a LONG way to go.
@nickdart3
A good away point but on the balance of play and our current situation it was a massive two points dropped. Just a shame we couldn’t keep the clean sheet.
@shrimperjon
Much improved compared to the recent couple of games. Really should’ve won with the chances we had but you never get the luck when you’re down the bottom. Hopper changes our play so much, he’s different class. Cox man of the match, he was literally everywhere and anything good went through him.
@ljarvis27
Better performances. Defended from the front as a team should and that set the tone. Was nice to see the front two pressing, not seen that all season. Allowed everyone else to do the same. Shame we didn’t take all three points but a lot of positives to take.
@dgsonnet
So unlucky not to come away with the other two points but a point’s a point. Waddock should be given a chance in my opinion. Elvis, Hutch and Hamilton were class as always but most importantly Tommy Hopper is back!
@sufcgirl
We are where we are. Tranmere is a tough place to go on a Friday night when you have already been written off by many. A well earned point and salutes to the few that made the trip. Regardless of what happens off the pitch it’s the boys on it that matter. Keep going chaps.
@misterpaulhill
First time I’ve enjoyed a game in ages. We actually looked like a team. We were always going to need a second goal and got punished for not getting it. Can’t fault the effort and commitment of the players. Some positive signs. Great to see Hopper back and scoring.
@midgetspanner
This shows we can compete at this level but we have to show the same fight in every game now. We need to learn how to win games again and quickly. Great that Hopper’s back and scoring.
