PETER GWARGIS lashed home as Albion and Wolves fought out a 1-1 draw in PL2 tonight.

The clubs' under-23s locked horns after the senior sides staged an entertaining 2-2 draw on Sunday in the Prem.

And Gwargis struck in the 55th minute for Simon Rusk's side as they battled back from an early setback to earn a point in PL2 division one.

The home side had got off to a flying start at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground after Benny Ashley-Seal gave them a third-minute lead when he turned home at the near post.

Bojan Radulovic, who had netted three times in the previous two league matches, almost levelled just before the break but his effort smashed against the crossbar.

The leveller arrived nine minutes after the break following good pressure from the Seagulls.

Swede Gwargis buried a fierce left-foot strike after Danny Cashman teed him up after he had harried Danny Csoka into a mistake.

The under-23s are back in action on Friday at home to Arsenal.
