SOUTHEND Manor join the midweek action after having to miss out at the weekend, reports Leon Imber.

A COVID-19 case in the Hadley camp meant that the game had to be postponed.

But Manor are back in action tomorrow, hosting Saffron Walden Town with the away side’s chairman promising any travelling supporters ‘sausage and chips from the famous fish and chips shop,’ as a way of showing gratitude for making the journey.

Just one point separates the two sides going into this match.

Other Essex Senior League action takes place tonight, with Hashtag United facing off against Clapton at the Len Salmon stadium.

The Tags will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table and to continue their fine form, which saw them knock Cockfosters off the top spot at the weekend.

Harry Honesty has been in fine form for Jay Devereux’s men and helped to secure the three points last time out.

To round off the midweek action, East Thurrock United welcome Horsham to Rookery Hill in the Isthmian Premier.

Rocks have yet to pick up a victory this season and will face tough opposition, as the away side have won three of their last four matches.

Paul Martin’s men were demolished 4-0 by Bognor Regis at the weekend.
