Brentwood Town are joining forces with Southend United at a charity football auction at The Old Bell public house, High Street, Ingatestone this coming Sunday October 5.

The auctioneer for the evening will be Southend manager Steve Tilson, and the event kicks off at 7pm with all money raised being donated to Little Havens Children’s Hospice.

Brentwood Town chairman Keith Woodcock said: “We are delighted to be involved with this charity football auction and hope to raise shed-loads of money for this deserving local charity.

“We will be auctioning signed Southend and Brentwood Football Club shirts and balls, along with tickets for league games, and also corporate hospitality packages.

“We are hoping that players from both teams will come along on the night to sign team photos which will again be sold on behalf of the charity”.

Brentwood Town have a band of loyal supporters based in Ingatestone who they hope will come along on the evening.

Keith added: “Based on the club’s performance over the past two seasons and our current league position as leaders of the Ryman One North League, a lot of local football fans are having a look at us and coming over to the Brentwood Arena to watch a game or two.

“This charity auction will be an ideal opportunity to come over and see what we are all about.”
